Mandatory automated return labels as of March 1st, 2026
For return requests that fall within the scope defined below, the use of automatic return labels is mandatory.
Sellers can choose between the available carrier options, including DHL Express. This setup ensures a consistent, trackable and automated returns process across refurbed.

✅ Who is in scope
This setup applies to:
- Marketplace return requests within 35 days
- Eligible sellers, countries, and product categories
- Product scope (initial rollout): Small and medium-sized electronics such as phones, tablets, laptops, audio devices, smartwatches, consoles, cameras, accessories, and computer components.
🚫 Currently out of scope (initial rollout)
- Sellers located in: Latvia (LV), Lithuania (LT), Slovenia (SI), Hungary (HU), Romania (RO), Finland (FI), Switzerland (CH)
- Domestic return lanes: Sweden → Sweden (SE–SE) and Denmark → Denmark (DK–DK)
- Product categories excluded from the initial mandate:
- Monitors
- Desktop PCs
- Printers & Scanners
- TVs
- Small & Medium Domestic Appliances
- Kids products
- Sports equipment
**Sellers requiring multiple return addresses: we will asses if we can onboard you partially as we currently do not support multiple return addresses.
Exclusions will be revisited after the initial rollout phase.

Sellers can also voluntarily enroll in automatic return labels beyond the mandated scope, for example for additional lanes or categories, using refurbed’s DHL Express contract.
